Samuel Luna, Affordable Lending Director, Single-Family Division

Samuel Luna is the Affordable Lending Director in the Single-Family division. He leads the lender engagement team for the Affordable Lending and Access to Credit department. His team of housing and mortgage professionals creates production strategies and lending opportunities for Freddie Mac’s lender customers. Working collaboratively with lenders, non-profit agencies, and government agencies, his team creates outreach initiatives designed to increase homeownership opportunities and preserve homeownership for under-served families. 

Prior to Freddie Mac, he was Managing Partner at Civic Center Home Loans, a mortgage and real estate firm in Los Angeles. Mr. Luna was responsible for mortgage lending, business strategy and strategic partnerships. Prior to his position at Civic Center Home Loans, he was the National Director of Strategic Markets at Freddie Mac from 2008 to 2014. He also held positions with Community Development Lending and Expanding Markets at Freddie Mac from 2002 to 2008.

Mr. Luna holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in history from California State University at Fullerton.
