Membership Renewals
We have all heard the saying March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Well, March seems to be living up this. This month, you should be receiving your renewal notices in your emails.  Keep in mind, if you became a member on or after January 1, 2016, your membership does not expire until April 1, 2017. If you became a member prior to that, your membership expires April 1, 2016. You may save time and renew online. Click here to renew.

CAMP Webinar
You may not realize it, but your loan officer comp plan may not be compliant.  What happens to you if you are not paid correctly?  CAMP invites you to learn from Daniella Casseres at our upcoming free members-only webinar on Thursday, March 10th, 2016.  During this webinar, Daniella Casseres, Esq., will discuss how to structure compliant loan originator compensation for mortgage brokers as well as other key compliance considerations impacting brokers such as dual employment, Bank Secrecy Act, and marketing rules.  Click here to register.

New 4506-T
Are you using the new 4506-T that was revised last September? Last November, CAMP included a copy of the new form in our newsletter. We were told that the IRS would stop accepting the old form earlier this year. Although the IRS has been accepting the old version, they will stop taking it by March 15, 2016. Please make sure to use the updated forms. The version in your processing software may not be the correct form. In case you are unsure, make sure to click this link and view the new form.

Time to Purchase a New Home?
Is now the right time for home buyers to purchase a new home? You may notice an increase of purchase business coming your way. Fannie Mae did a poll of over 1,000 Americans via live telephone interviews. Click here for more info.

Legislative Efforts
Great news! The NAMB Legislative conference is now sold out. As always, California will have the largest contingency. Your CAMP leadership will be in attendance supporting your voice in Washington DC.

CAMP’s State Lobby Day is set for Wednesday, May 11th in Sacramento. This is your opportunity to meet your State Legislators and voice your concerns. It is always empowering to walk the halls of our State Capitol. Last year, CAR had over 2,000 delegates at their lobby day. How many CAMP members can we have attend? Click here for more information and watch the state's newsletter as new information arises!
