CAMP Applauds the U.S. Court of Appeals Ruling on the PHH Case
Sacramento, CA, October 12, 2016—CAMP—The California Association of Mortgage Professionals applauds the ruling made by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on the PHH Corp. V. CFPB case.
“CAMP commends the decision made today by the U.S. Court of Appeals in response to the PHH case that challenged a $103 million dollar fine assessed by CFPB Director Richard Cordray. This action affirms that our nation’s system of checks and balances, instituted by the U.S. Constitution, does indeed work. With this issue settled, the CFPB can continue the important work they do, advocating for consumer protection,” said Bill Moore, CAMP Government Affairs Chair.
“CAMP applauds the work of the CFPB and believes that as an executive agency with oversight from the President, their actions will be even more transparent and consumers will be better protected.”
